We are currently seeking to recruit an Electrician into the Cold End Engineering Department. The main purpose of this role is to carry out electrical repairs and maintain cold end equipment and contribute to efficient job changes to allow the manufacturing process to run effectively, producing quality glass for beverage containers.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare cold end equipment for job changes and potential breakdowns, ensuring equipment meets necessary specifications for the new job.
* Participate in job changes, setting up and adjusting cold end equipment as necessary to maintain efficient operations during and after the change.
* Support critical plant functions as required.
* Identify and rectify faults with cold end equipment to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.
* Complete SAP/APS logs after each job to keep the team well-informed.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations.
* Work as part of an effective team to manage and control workload throughout the shift.
Required skills / qualifications:
* Recognised Apprenticeship in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
* Understanding of glass container terminology and fault awareness.
* Commitment and enthusiasm to support a 24-hour process, with the ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Health, safety, and hygiene awareness.
