Description As a Multi-Discipline Placement Intern, you will experience the behind -the-scenes aspects of the business, including Risk, Finance, and our Commercial Operations teams. This is a 12 month placement opportunity running from July 2026 to July 2027. Overview of the teams: Our Risk team is responsible for: underwriting finance applications from retail customers and ensuring all our compliance obligations are fulfilled. helping customers who may have fallen into financial difficulty and ensure they pay their commitments to us in a timely manner. Our Finance team is responsible for cashflow, incoming and outgoing payments, financed contract payouts, reconciliations, controls, VAT and tax, monthly reporting of financials and the submission of the statutory accounts. The Commercial Operations functions curate and support the customer journey from start to end and ensuring every deal and customer interaction meet our high standards. This placement will allow students to explore the back/mid-office areas of the company to gather invaluable experience and help them discover interests and direction for future careers. Your training will be on the job, so you will gain practical skills and knowledge, first-hand, from day one. You will receive feedback on your work and coaching to help you improve. You will bring new ideas and experience to the department and wider company. All the time, you will have an assigned manager on hand, who will provide you with expert advice when you need it, as well as weekly sessions with a sector expert to enhance both your knowledge about the company and about the wider risk and credit environment. They will help you make the most of the opportunities on offer, give you experience to be able to complete your degree, and lay the foundations for your long-term career. You will also be offered ample support with any work you may have from your university. By the time you have completed your placement year you will have gained invaluable experience and knowledge of key areas in our business. What to expect In the Risk rotation you will: Credit function learn how new business proposals are auto-decisioned and manually underwritten, conduct in-depth analysis of borrowers’ financial performance, evaluate the risks related to the borrowers’ industry and operations; and interpret data to mitigate risks affecting borrowers; repayment capacities Portfolio Management and Compliance functions: gain an understanding of the delinquency process, effective provision settings, and litigation learn about asset management and remarketing conduct assessments on the quality of our compliance procedures. In the Finance rotation you will: learn and undertake a variety of transactional day-to-day tasks in cashiers and accounting, eg payment of invoices, applications of customer receipts, reconciliations, banking, and control. understanding the basic principles of the day-to-day activities in the accounting department. learn how to review and check customer contracts, to enable us to make payments to local suppliers to finance AGCO equipment. interact with other departments resolving ad hoc customer and accounting queries as required. In the Commercial Operations rotation, you will: Sales Support and Sales Development functions quote for new business, process paperwork for deals and handle customer services handle complaints Commercial Finance function provide customer service for incoming dealer queries ensure equipment orders are managed efficiently and in accordance with policies and procedures co-ordinate and control payment collection from dealers and assist the finance team in clearing manufacturer payment queries manage and control commercial finance receivables for retail business received manage the chasing and collections of overdue arrears from dealers provide reporting to the business Operations and Project Management functions create and amend processes – considering LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles assist with project support manage 1-2 large-scale projects to work on across the duration of your placement Essentials Applicants need to have the right to work in the UK. The office is in a rural location not easily accessible by public transportation, please keep it in mind before applying. Applications will preferably be working at a 2:1 level or above in Economics, Business, Finance or Banking, however we are open to applications below this grade or alternative degree subjects. Must have a good understanding (including experience) of MS products, including Outlook, Teams, Excel etc. Competencies and skills Be keen to learn the day-to-day skills required to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Be able to learn the day-to-day processes which control daily routine tasks. Once fully trained and confident in the task, be able to work on your own initiative, reaching out for guidance as required. Be enthusiastic to get the job done. Be a confident communicator, whether working remotely or in the office. Have an eye for detail ensuring accuracy (imperative in our industry) Open to taking on responsibilities which have a real impact on our business.
