Primary Function: The Cardiology Non-Invasive Stress Testing Registered Nurse is responsible for providing quality care to patients before, during, and after cardiac stress testing, in accordance with department and hospital policies. The RN plans, directs, and coordinates the daily schedule with inpatient and outpatient services through communication with the supervisor and lead cardiologists.
Job Qualifications and Specifications: BSN preferred, with a minimum of 4 years of direct experience caring for cardiac patients, such as in CCU or a dedicated cardiac floor. At least 1 year of cardiac stress testing experience required. ACLS certification is mandatory. The cardiac care experience requirement may be waived if the candidate has over 3 years of cardiac stress testing experience. Proficiency in 12-lead EKG interpretation is required. RI State RN Licensure is also required.
