Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?
Aspire People is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the B92 area of Solihull that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN TA to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in SEN settings, or someone looking to build their experience working with children who may have Autism (ASC), ADHD, communication difficulties, or other learning needs.
Your Role Will Include:
Supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans
Helping to manage behaviour using a positive and patient approach
Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Working collaboratively with the SENCO and wider school staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEN (school, care, or similar settings)
A calm, nurturing, and supportive nature
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one through Aspire People)
