Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview:
* Location: Farnborough (Hybrid)

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Manage and enhance secure, multi-environment infrastructure spanning virtualised and cloud-based platforms
* Support and optimise Microsoft 365 and wider cloud services across public, private, and hybrid environments
* Maintain system performance through patching, monitoring, and proactive improvements
* Handle incident response, ensuring minimal disruption and effective resolution
* Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to embed secure-by-design principles
* Monitor systems, triage alerts, and take appropriate action to maintain stability
* Contribute to infrastructure changes through structured change control processes
* Identify trends and implement improvements to performance and reliability
* Provide technical guidance to internal teams and stakeholders
* Document processes and share knowledge across the wider team
Main Skills Needed:
* Strong experience with Windows Server environments (2016+)
* Virtualisation expertise (VMware stack) and cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365)
* Linux administration (e.g. RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS)
* Scripting and automation using PowerShell
* Understanding of endpoint provisioning, patching, and system hardening
* Knowledge of SSO concepts and secure environments
* Exposure to Kubernetes and DevSecOps tooling
* Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Vault, Elastic, or Nessus
* Experience working in Agile delivery environments
* Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
