The University of Lancashire is seeking to recruit a key leadership role of Executive Director of Estates and Campus Services. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the university's estate, focusing on campus development, regeneration, operational excellence, and sustainability.
The university, established in 1828, is one of the UK's largest, with over 39,000 students, and was named Edufuturists ‘University of the Year’ in 2023. It operates across multiple campuses including Preston, Burnley, Blackburn, West Cumbria, and Cyprus, and aims to be a leading UK university with international influence.
The Executive Director will oversee the development and implementation of the estate strategy, aligning it with the university’s objectives. Responsibilities include managing teams responsible for capital investment, estate optimisation, facilities management, and campus services, with a focus on efficiency, customer experience, and value for money.
This role involves working with public and private sector partners to advance the placemaking agenda and contribute to sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing estate strategies that enhance user experience and land/property optimisation, along with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
