HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a dedicated and organised Legal Assistant to join our Residential Property team. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Handling client enquiries and providing updates on their residential property transactions.
* Opening and closing client files, ensuring compliance with firm policies and legal requirements.
* Assisting in preparing, drafting, and filing necessary legal documents and correspondence.
* Conducting legal research related to residential property law.
* Supporting solicitors during negotiations and transactions.
* Maintaining accurate record-keeping and documentation within case management systems.
* Performing general administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
* Providing occasional reception cover as required.
Requirements
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting documents.
* Previous experience in a legal or property setting is advantageous but not essential.
