Are you looking for flexible work during term time?
Have you got previous experience working with children?
Are you a student or graduate seeking school-based experience?
Teaching Personnel is currently working with numerous mainstream secondary schools across Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland. We are looking for Ad Hoc Supply Teachers for general cover or long-term positions.
Whether you are unqualified, an early career teacher, or an experienced educator looking to network in various schools, we can provide you with regular daily work.
If you are seeking 2 or 5 days of flexible work per week, we would like to hear from you. Working on a supply basis typically requires you to have your own transport, as calls for work can come at short notice, sometimes on the morning of the day.
We also have pre-planned absences with advance notice, giving you plenty of time to prepare.
The role can vary from school to school, but generally includes:
1. Preparing the classroom for lessons.
2. Delivering pre-set work.
3. Keeping students on task.
4. Providing extra support to children who need it.
5. Clearing away at the end of lessons.
Pay ranges from £90 to £160 per day, depending on experience and qualifications, and is paid from day one for long-term positions.
Previous experience in education or the care sector is desirable, but applications are also welcomed from those without experience who wish to start a career in a school setting. Qualified teachers available part-time are especially sought after.
Teaching Personnel offers:
1. A dedicated specialist consultant to support you.
2. Competitive weekly pay based on your qualifications and experience, paid directly through PAYE.
3. A referral bonus scheme (£50 per referred person).
4. Access to an online portal with an interactive diary to manage bookings and availability.
Please submit an up-to-date CV below to be considered.
All applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and training. See the FAQ section on the Teaching Personnel website for more details.
Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanent roles in the future.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding children and will conduct safeguarding checks in accordance with DfE guidance. This may include online searches as part of our due diligence.
We provide free child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undergo or have completed a valid enhanced DBS check, with full assistance provided.
