Dominican Legal Research Associate
Role Overview
Mercor is seeking lawyers with litigation or corporate/transactional experience to support new Dominican Republic dataset projects. This role involves compiling publicly available legal and financial documents to contribute to internal testing and external demonstrations for advanced AI systems. The ideal candidate will leverage their legal expertise and familiarity with Dominican law to collect, organize, and verify documents in a fully remote and asynchronous environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect and organize publicly available legal and financial documents based on project guidelines.
* Ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity of all compiled materials.
* Follow structured documentation processes to meet defined quality standards.
* Verify sources and ensure all data is obtained from public, verifiable platforms.
* Collaborate asynchronously with the project manager and meet all deadlines.
Ideal Qualifications
* 2–3 years of active practicing experience in litigation or corporate/transactional law in the Dominican Republic.
* Familiarity with Dominican legal and regulatory document sources.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured documentation requirements.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work on short timelines.
Opportunity Highlights
