Role overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving retailer performance and commercial compliance across the network. The role focuses on optimising finance floorplan utilisation, ensuring adherence to brand standards, leading composite performance reviews, and strengthening the effectiveness of the Used Car Programme. The position plays a key role in improving retailer profitability, consistency, and brand representation.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary contact for retailer finance floorplan performance and utilisation
* Help define best practices and set clear expectations for the retail network to drive commercial success.
* Work collaboratively with finance partners and retailers to identify risks, opportunities, and improvements.
* Ensure retailers consistently meet brand standards across facilities, operations, and customer experience
* Conduct regular site visits and audits, providing clear feedback and improvement plans where required.
* Support retailers through refurbishments, upgrades, and brand compliance initiatives
* Lead structured composite reviews with retailers, analysing performance across sales, finance, aftersales, used cars, and customer metrics
* Track progress against agreed actions and KPIs, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
* Use composite results to identify high-performing retailers and areas requiring intervention
* Drive engagement and compliance with the brand’s Used Car Programme
* Share best practice across the network to maximise used car profitability and brand confidence
* Undertake responsibilities as determined by immediate supervisor, or as directed by Departmental and Omoda Jaecoo UK Senior Management Team
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor degree or above in Commercial Management, Business Analytics
* Professional experience: more than 3 years of work experience in automotive OEM Sector
* Proactive approach to work and passionate about delivering to high standards
* Ability to multi-task and work across multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience of working with agency partners or suppliers
* Confident conscientious, dedicated, flexible and tenacious
* Language requirement: English as working language.
* Flexibility to travel throughout the Region.
