This is an exciting opportunity to join the in-house legal team at Softcat! We are a friendly and supportive team: our General Counsel and the majority of the team are based in Softcat's Manchester office and our DPO is based in our head office in Marlow alongside our CISO.

Is Data Protection something you thrive in?
You'll be experienced in working within a small team or confident enough to work on this basis. You will be supervised by our DPO with additional support and training from the wider team, including our General Counsel, but will need to be able to work with a degree of independence.
As Data Protection Paralegal, you'll provide assistance to the Data Protection Officer on:
* Implementing and managing the data protection programme;
* Monitoring Softcat's activities and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations;
* Contributing to the development and updating of data protection policies, procedures, and records of processing;
* Raising awareness amongst staff about data protection issues and best practice;
* Reviewing data protection clauses in contracts with customers and suppliers;
* Reviewing privacy notices and working with the business to ensure new processing activities are captured.
Qualifications
* Higher education degree in law, data protection, information security, or a related field;
* A keen interest in data protection and to be able to demonstrate that at interview;
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
* Confidence to work independently and ability to work under pressure;
