Mount Pleasant CE VC Junior School is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant who is an enthusiastic individual to join our new, exciting nurture provision.

About the Role:
As the lead member of staff for the Nurture Provision, you will play a key role in the children's day within the provision. You will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in supporting all of our children to flourish. The ideal candidate will be a patient and engaging practitioner who has a genuine passion for supporting children and working in partnership with our SENDCo and teaching staff in order to ensure the best outcomes for our children who will have access to the provision.
The role is varied and will involve supporting learning within the new Nurture Provision and delivering interventions so that all children make excellent progress. You will have a calm and positive demeanour, the ability to break down activities into small step by step teaching and nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate our children. You will contribute to the school's Christian vision to create a safe, inclusive and happy school and promote our children to be creative, independent and reflective learners.
Job Requirements:
We require a motivated, flexible individual with a passion for supporting pupils with their education and social skills, able to work using their initiative and as part of a team to support the pupil s diverse range of needs. We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children within an Enhanced Resource Provision or similar capacity, has good verbal communication, strong time management and organisational skills. You will have the ability to build a good rapport with our children, parents and carers and the wider school community. Experience of working with children with a wide range of SEND needs is essential as the role will involve supporting children with EHCPs and children who are on the SEND register.
