An exciting opportunity has become available for Health and Social Care Support Workers to join the Care at Home Team in Lochaber. The post holder will work effectively supporting care as appropriate to promote optimum achievable self‑care, allowing clients to remain in their own homes. There is a goal within Lochaber to expand the service to include reablement/rehabilitation, enabling patients to avoid acute hospital admission and return home from hospital sooner, remaining in their own homes.
Applicants will be expected to adhere to NHS Highland policies and procedures and all relevant local and national standards, including strict confidentiality requirements.
Applicants should show willingness and interest in continuing professional development, undertaking relevant activities to meet training objectives identified through supervision, including the essential completion of an SVQ health and social care level 3 to be registered with the SSSC.
This role works within a rota system and includes flexible, unsociable hours and weekend working. Post holders will be expected to work throughout the Lochaber region with flexibility.
A current UK driving licence and the use of one’s own car for work purposes are essential.
