The role
We are currently looking for a Security Operations Analyst to join ITV's expanding Security Operations team.
This is an exciting role where you will support the Security Operations Manager to monitor and respond to various notifications and events from business and security systems. This role will require you to work with users and stakeholders across the business to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover to security issues.
It's an exciting opportunity to really make a difference to our ‘More than TV’ strategy and help secure some of the UK’s best loved content.
The role will entail but not be limited to:
1. Monitoring, maintaining and protecting ITV’s network, systems and assets from malicious activity
2. Triage issues escalated to the SOC and ensure that appropriate follow-up measures are taken in a timely and professional manner
3. Utilising industry leading SIEM, AV, MDR, Networking, Identity, Email, and Cloud based tools
4. Assist with the development and continuous improvement of runbooks, identifying efficiencies where applicable
5. Identifying and suggesting improvements that can be made to technologies, processes, and new initiatives
6. Feeding into the plan and strategy for delivering cyber awareness training and cyber events across ITV
7. Perform monitoring of open source intelligence for potential threats against ITV, and ensure appropriate defensive actions are taken with respect to these
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
8. Working understanding of Cyber controls and OWASP top ten
9. Familiarity with and basic understanding of public cloud environments
10. Experience in incident situations
11. Ability to demonstrate good situational awareness of the cyber threat landscape, and experience of applying this knowledge efficiently and pragmatically
12. Work autonomously and in a team, be inquisitive and demonstrate initiative in resolving problems across the business
