Overview
Applications are invited for a 12‑month fixed‑term full‑time (10 PA) Consultant in Haematology to join a team of nine consultants in Bath.
The department delivers high‑intensity chemotherapy and autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation and is at the forefront of innovative practice and research in the region.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert haematology clinical care within the high‑intensity chemotherapy and stem cell transplantation service.
* Develop and maintain a specialist interest that complements the existing consultant team.
* Support recruitment to and conduct of evolving clinical trials.
* Act as an accredited educational supervisor.
* Contribute to department research initiatives and develop own research interests.
Qualifications
* Registered medical practitioner.
* On or eligible to join the Specialist register for Haematology within six months of appointment.
* Experience in haematology or related specialty preferred, but a specialist interest is welcome.
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and support educational supervision.
* Openness to engage in academic activities and potential honorary appointment with the University of Bristol Medical School.
