As The Rainbow Centre Data & IT Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our digital systems. Working closely with the Operations Manager and the Client Support team, you will maintain and develop our Lamplight CRM system, ensure GDPR compliance, and support the organisation’s IT and digital infrastructure. Your work will enable The Rainbow Centre to collect, manage, and evaluate data effectively, helping us to evidence our impact and continuously improve our services.

Key Responsibilities
Lead on the development, implementation and embedding of the Lamplight CRM system across the organisation.
Liaise with Lamplight (our CRM provider) regarding system improvements and developments aligned with organisational priorities and available resources.
Collaborate with the Client Support Data Champion to develop a CRM framework that captures meaningful data to evidence our impact.
Provide regular training and ongoing support to Client Support team members, particularly following system updates or changes.
Ensure the organisation meets all legal requirements relating to data protection, including GDPR compliance and certification.
Maintain and update the Rainbow Centre’s website, ensuring content is accurate, relevant and reflective of our ethos.
Support the Operations Manager with general data and IT tasks to ensure the effective operation of our systems and services.
Person Specification
Essential Experience and Skills:
Experience supporting digital and IT functions within an organisation, preferably in the voluntary or community sector.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Experience using and/or administering a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles with a track record of supporting organisational compliance.
Ability to present, analyse and interpret data for different audiences in accessible and meaningful ways.
Confidence using cloud-based systems and digital platforms, and a willingness to learn and implement new tools and technologies.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a process-driven approach to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Experience with Lamplight CRM system.
Understanding of the voluntary sector and the specific challenges and opportunities it presents.
Website editing or content management system experience.
A positive, adaptable attitude with a collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork.

Other Information
This is a part-time role with flexibility around working hours, agreed with the Operations Manager.
