Were supporting a specialist manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their quality team.
Whats the role all about?
As a Quality Inspector, youll play a key role in ensuring products meet strict quality standards and customer specifications across the manufacturing process.
This is a hands-on role involving detailed inspection activities, measurement reporting and close collaboration with production and engineering teams.
A key part of this role is the ability to programme and operate CMM equipment, making previous CMM programming experience essential.
Key responsibilities
* Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections on precision manufactured components
* Programme and operate CMM equipment to verify dimensional accuracy
* Use a range of manual inspection equipment including micrometres, verniers and gauges
* Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and GD&T
* Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions
* Complete inspection documentation and quality records accurately
* Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement activities
* Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues
* Ensure compliance with customer, industry and internal quality standards
What youll need
To succeed in this role, youll bring:
* Experience working within a Quality Inspection role in manufacturing or precision engineering
* CMM programming experience essential
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
* Experience using a range of manual measuring equipment
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
* Experience within aerospace, defence or regulated manufacturing environments
* Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
* Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
