It has recently implemented a new digital health record, data warehouse, and business intelligence solutions. The information team supports management and clinicians with data and analysis to improve patient care and support research.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated data engineer to join our team and support the Information Development Manager in shaping, developing, and maintaining the Trust’s new data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and manage the corporate data warehouse and Trusted Research Environment, including monitoring databases, resolving performance issues, and testing system upgrades and patches.
2. Proactively, in conjunction with our cloud hosting provider, optimise environment performance and explore and recommend opportunities for cost reduction.
3. Develop complex data structures, data models and extract–transform–load processes to support the Trust’s data warehouse at the direction of the Database Architect.
4. Develop, implement, and assist in the maintenance of a data asset catalogue to facilitate data discovery.
5. Work alongside information analysts, performance managers, and data quality managers to develop data models that enable the creation of self‑service analytics in a controlled and governed way.
Qualifications
* Degree level education.
* Experience developing and maintaining Microsoft‑based SQL data warehouses.
* Ability to produce technical documentation for a wide range of users.
* Self‑motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels within and outside the organisation.
