Qualifications
* Experience in testing data pipelines (ETL, data warehouse)
* 3-5+ years of QA experience with a strong emphasis on API testing
* Proven experience of API Performance testing
* Knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB Atlas)
* Knowledge of web-based technology architecture, data structures, and RESTful APIs
* Experience in testing AWS Elastic search is a plus
* Experience of data streaming (Kafka) is a plus
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
* Capability to handle multiple projects concurrently, delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
* Critical thinking skills for thorough analysis of system requirements and test scenarios
Education
* Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree)
Responsibilities
* API Testing Excellence: Design, develop, and execute tests using tools like Postman or similar for API testing. Champion the adoption of best practices within the QA team.
* Test Execution: Write, execute, and continuously enhance test scripts to validate software functionality. Develop test plans, test cases, and testing scripts, maintaining documentation of results and tracking bugs.
* Results Analysis and Reporting: Analyze the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to quality assurance.
* Artifact Maintenance: Maintain and update API test scripts and artifacts to reflect evolving requirements.
* Database Management: Utilize advanced queries to query NoSQL databases, ensuring relevance to API tests. Performance Testing: Subject the API to different levels of stress, load and concurrency.
* API Framework Development: Take a lead role in developing and enhancing the API testing framework to meet specific testing requirements.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the software development team to understand product specifications and develop a corresponding testing strategy. Work closely with business analysts and project managers to foster a collaborative testing environment.

We’re expanding our team at Moody’s, the leading data analytics company globally, to work on a cutting‑edge data streaming pipeline that processes large company datasets. Collaboration is key, and you’ll work closely with our data engineering team to enhance test coverage. Your responsibilities extend to improving or creating new test frameworks and data utilities.
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a candidate to play an integral part in our API testing strategy within the department. We are seeking a highly-skilled Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong knowledge of API testing. The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years’ experience in API testing and be adept at creating, implementing, and managing API tests to ensure product quality and will have a keen eye for detail and excellent problem‑solving skills.
