Adult Support Worker - Alcedo Care
Pay Rates starting from £14.00 - £14.50 per hour PLUS Pension PLUS Holiday Pay PLUS Mileage. This equates to a rolled up hourly rate of £16.16 - £16.74!

Your Role
We are looking for dedicated individuals with prior experience in a professional care setting, to work within our Adults complex care packages in Workington and the surrounding areas.
You will be required to work either on a 1-1 or double-up basis. Daily responsibilities of the role may include:
Promoting independence
Managing behaviours and emotions
Supporting with learning difficulties
Managing medication
Tracheostomy care
PEG feeding
Catheter care
Support with acute brain injuries
Using mobility aids including hoisting and wheelchairs
Supporting with mental health
Meal preparation
Social enrichment
Personal care

Requirements of the Role
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Previous experience within a professional care setting, preferably community-based and covering young adults
Previous work experience and knowledge of caring for those with complex needs
Be strong-willed and resilient
Strong knowledge and experience with clinical skills including PEG feeding and tracheostomy care
Able to use own judgement and make informed decisions in emergency situations
Able to work as part of a team
Knowledge of professional boundaries and safeguarding policies
Shift Patterns
This is a full-time role working on a zero-hour contract. All staff will be required to work on a weekend on, weekend off basis on a rolling rota. Currently, part-time hours are not available due to client requirements.
Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun
Week 2 - Wed, Thurs, Fri
