What will you be doing?
On-site assembly and wiring of protection and control systems for transmission, distribution and power generation projects
Cable installation, glanding and termination (paired, multicore, copper and fibre)
Mechanical assembly of cubicles, frameworks, cable tray/ladder racking and desks
Electrical inspection and testing prior to commissioning
Point-to-point wiring checks, insulation resistance, HV withstand and earth bond testing
Power-up, fusing and functional checks
Identifying rework during inspection and test and ensuring quality standards are met
Updating issue logs and liaising with site managers, design and commissioning engineers
Completing equipment-specific tests on test rigs and customer cubicles as required
Where will you be doing it?
Working for a long-established UK systems integrator delivering protection, control and automation solutions into highly regulated energy environments
Projects include transmission, distribution and power generation across the UK
Staffordshire base when not on site, with regular travel to customer locations
What will you need?
Experience as a site-based wireperson or similar role
E, C & I installation experience on substations or comparable environments
Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, wiring schedules and assembly drawings
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel and work away from home
