The Role
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Administrator to join the Property & Capital Planning Department. The department is responsible for delivering the Board’s capital programme and providing property and asset management services across the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde estate. The post provides dedicated financial administration support, processing invoices and payments with a high degree of autonomy to ensure compliance with Board financial policies and contract frameworks. You will manage a varied workload, work flexibly in response to departmental priorities, and operate with sufficient experience and knowledge to act autonomously.

* This is a permanent post working full‑time hours (36).
* You will be based at Gartnavel Royal Hospital, G12 0XH.
* The shift pattern is yet to be confirmed.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining financial records.
* Raising purchase orders.
* Resolving supplier and PECOS queries.
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* Supporting effective budget monitoring and control.
Qualifications and Experience
* Educated to degree level or have 5 years previous management experience within NHS or Local Authority.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
* Clear understanding of the Board’s Standing Financial Instructions, Scheme of Delegation, Data Protection & Confidentiality policies.
* Working knowledge of Retention of Records guidance.
* In-depth knowledge of Procurement and Payment systems such as Peco, Cedar and Zendesk.
* Excellent understanding of financial obligations relative to each type of construction contract.
