Location: Canterbury, Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education Kent are currently supporting a well-regarded secondary school in Canterbury in their search for a dedicated History Teacher to join their humanities department and deliver engaging, high-quality history lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Plan, prepare, and mark work in line with curriculum expectations
* Inspire students to develop a curiosity and appreciation for History
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
* Contribute positively to the wider humanities department and school community
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge as a History Teacher
* Experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
* Ability to motivate and engage learners of all abilities
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
