As our new Trainee Bid Writer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of winning tender submissions that help Connolly continue to grow across the Northwest, West Yorkshire, and North Wales.

Working alongside our experienced Bid Writer and Head of Bid Quality, you’ll help write, edit, and coordinate high-quality responses for public sector housing contracts. From researching answers and drafting content, to learning how to navigate procurement portals and understand compliance requirements, you’ll be trained in all aspects of the bidding process through a structured 12–18 month development programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to start or change your career and be part of a high-performing, supportive team making a real difference in communities.

As our business continues to grow, so too does the need for passionate, talented people to join us on our journey.

What you will be responsible for…

* Conducting research to inform and strengthen our submissions, this does require site visits.
* Helping maintain our bid library and supporting documentation.
* Learning how to use and manage multiple tender portals.
* Attending internal meetings with operational teams to gather content.
* Formatting documents for final submission.
* You’ll also shadow experienced team members to learn about our delivery models, case studies, and the full bidding process from start to finish.

Entry Level:

* A-Level in English, Journalism, Creative/Professional Writing, or similar.
* Excellent writing and research skills.
* An eagerness to learn technical subjects and procurement processes.

What we’ll give you …

* A 12–18 month structured training plan.
* Regular mentoring and feedback from our experienced team.
* Career progression opportunities, including the potential to grow into a Bid Writer role.
* Generous holiday entitlement and a comprehensive pension scheme.
* Access to wellbeing support and a positive working environment.
