You will be capable of producing comprehensive reports suitable for presentation to senior management and the board. About the role: This is more than a management role. Its an opportunity to inspire, innovate and deliver in two of the most important areas of our business: income collection and lettings. You'll lead and develop high performing teams - supporting them to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll drive continuous improvement, and ensure customers are supported with fairness, respect and accountability. You will: Lead the Income and Lettings Team Provide strategic leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high performance, compliance, and alignment with Selwood Housing's values. Drive Service Improvement and Innovation Champion continuous improvement, customer engagement, and innovation in income collection and lettings processes. Ensure Legal and Regulatory Compliance Oversee adherence to housing legislation, welfare benefits regulations, and internal policies, including authorising legal notices and evictions. Manage Budgets and Operational Planning Hold responsibility for budget management, ensuring value for money and operational efficiency across the service. Enhance Customer Experience Empower teams to deliver excellent customer service, manage complaints, and support tenants in maximising income through benefit entitlements. Represent the Organisation Externally Act as the lead contact for income and lettings with local authorities, legal advisors, and other partners, ensuring Selwood Housing&©s interests are well represented. What we're looking for: We are after a proven leader who brings not only experience in income management and lettings, but also the empathy, innovation, and determination to make a real difference. You will have: Senior Leadership in Social Housing Proven experience leading income recovery, lettings, or tenancy management functions within a social housing context, including managing teams and driving service performance. Strategic and Analytical Thinking Ability to interpret data for decision-making, develop policies, and manage external contracts, with a track record of delivering service improvements and benchmarking performance effectively. Technical Expertise in Income Management Strong knowledge of rent arrears recovery, Universal Credit, housing benefit systems, and financial inclusion strategies, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy. It would be great if you also have: Experience with Court Procedures and Local Authority Collaboration Familiarity with legal processes related to tenancy enforcement and a track record of working effectively with local authorities can enhance the role&©s impact and efficiency. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics can enhance operational efficiency, support data-driven decision-making, and streamline processes across income recovery and lettings services.
