Trainee Inspector - (Fixed-Term for 2 years) As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, Trainee Inspector to supervise and inspect all work undertaken to our void properties. Working throughout Neath Port Talbot Borough, on a 2-year fixed-term contract, with a starting salary of £26,796.00 with potential to increase to £29,221.00 after evidence of key competencies required within the role. About the role: As our Trainee Inspector, you will develop a broad understanding and working knowledge of our housing stock by gaining practical experience to supervise and inspect all work undertaken to our void properties. By setting and achieving objectives, you will ensure service demands are met timely, effectively, and efficiently. About You: To be considered for the Trainee Inspector role you will be expected to have a commitment to work towards a Level 4 qualification/HNC or another relevant subject. Prior experience in a similar role or transferrable skills, have an understanding of health & safety in a construction environment e.g., SMSTS, CSCS or IOSH, and have a desire to pursue a career in the construction industry. Personal Skills: A good level of IT literacy, in particular the use of Microsoft Teams/Office plus other subject related systems/databases. Ability to build close personal relationships, creating an environment for honest and challenging conversations. Competence in carrying out a role of a similar nature. Excellent communication skills that can be applied to different models (e.g., reports; presentations) and audiences (e.g., Colleague and Customers) with the ability to effectively engage and converse with stakeholders.
