Part-Time Logistics Administrator
Northampton (NN5), fully office-based
3-month temporary contract
£13 per hour
Hours: Part-time 3 days per week, Tuesday to Thursday (15-25 hours)
Overview:
We are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Administrator for our Northampton-based client, to work closely with their Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor, who is heavily involved in procurement & stock management. This role is critical in maintaining warehouse operations, supporting the flow of materials to projects, and ensuring accurate and timely updates to systems. The right candidate will not only be comfortable with admin tasks but also confident in liaising with suppliers, engineers, and other team members to ensure clarity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Administrator:
* Updating internal project management platform with accurate information on materials ordered and delivery status.
* Creating and maintaining delivery schedules (spreadsheet-based), ensuring the Supervisor has full visibility of incoming stock.
* Handling incoming calls, confidently extracting the necessary information to enable our Warehouse Supervisor to take action.
* Liaise with field-based engineers to check stock availability and log all material requests.
* Carrying out collections from local suppliers as required (full driving licence essential).
* Placing orders for materials directly with approved suppliers.
* Raising purchase orders in line with company processes.
* Preparing materials for dispatch, including boxing and labelling.
* Assisting with periodic stock takes and maintaining stock records.
Key skills and experience required for the Logistics Administrator:
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Proactive communicator who can confidently challenge and clarify information when needed.
* Comfortable using digital tools and learning new systems quickly (training will be provided).
* Flexible and adaptable, able to prioritise tasks based on operational needs.
* Full UK driving licence.
