About the role The successful candidate will lead the Design & Technology department while teaching across the curriculum. You will oversee the delivery of an engaging DT programme and support the development of practical and technical skills across the school. The role will involve: Leading and developing the Design & Technology department Teaching DT across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on specialism Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment Supporting and mentoring members of the DT team Overseeing curriculum development and schemes of work Ensuring strong health and safety standards within workshops and practical areas Promoting enrichment opportunities such as design competitions and STEM projects You will play a key role in maintaining the department’s strong reputation and ensuring students continue to achieve excellent outcomes.
