Responsibilities
- Serve customers on the trade counter, understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and e‑mail, providing quotes promptly and courteously with a proactive attitude.
- Perform general warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems, putting it away, and picking & packing customer orders involving manual handling of heavy items.
- Work full‑time permanent role: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and, on a rota basis, Saturdays 08:00–12:00, paid as overtime.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior industry or merchant experience is advantageous.
- Previous face‑to‑face sales and customer service experience.
- Warehouse experience.
- Team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure smooth running of the branch.
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable lifting heavy items.
