Withinthesupply chainteam, you willberesponsibleforhelping toprepareandmaintainingpaperwork associated with the tradingandshipment of goods.You willliaise withinternal and externalcustomers,suppliers,andour customs agentsto coordinate the delivery ofgoodsensuringthat all government and organizational policies are followed.The role will involvea high levelofaccuracyof documentsandtimelydistribution of these.
Job Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are associated with this job rolebut are not limited to:
1. Co-ordinate the shipment of Ingevity product via sea, road or air freight using the SAP transport system
2. Support theinboundlogisticsof raw materialspurchasedon a collection basis
3. Workwithour broker to arrange all import/exportdeclarations for consignments outside the UK(time critical)
4. Maintainan organized and accessible filing system for audit purposes
5. Buildand managerelationships with transport providers
6. Conduct strategic business reviews withboththe 3PLWarehouseand Ingevity'stransportand customs providers
7. Work with transport providerstoensure all quotes for transport are recordedand receivedin a timely manner
8. Maintain freight ratesandroutesinthe SAP system
9. Collaborate with the Customer Service and Planning team to achieve OTIF targets
10. Manage freight queriesandInvoices through the Coupa system and work with accounts payable and suppliers to ensuretimelypayment
11. Supportand leadcontinuous improvementprojects related to Supply Chain in line with business goals
12. Post goods issue packed product from the 3PL and tolling facilities
13. Problem solve and troubleshoot issues with the 3PL EDI link to Ingevity SAP
14. Establishimplement andmonitorkey performance indicators (KPIs) forthe3PLIngevity'slogisticsand customsproviders
15. Manage 3PL tomaintainhighinventory accuracy levels byensuringroutine physical countsare carried out andreconciled in the Ingevity SAP system
Qualifications and DESIRED SKILLS
Experience
16. Previousexperiencein a similar role
17. An understanding of the variety of import/export processes(desirable)
18. Experiencepreparingdocumentationpacks includingdocuments suchasBills of lading, customs invoices,commercial invoices, insurance certificateswould beadvantageous
19. Previousexperience on SAP or S4 (desirable not essential)
20. European language skills (desirable not essential)
21. Previousexperience working with transport providers (desirable not essential)
22. Understanding on freight rates and transport routes (desirable not essential)
23. Team player
24. Great timemanagement skills
