Job Description: We are currently looking for Trade Desk Sales Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to start or develop their sales career within the construction supply industry. While having prior experience in the field would be beneficial, please don't worry if you don't have any - we provide full training.
Main Duties Include:
* Handling customer enquiries on the phone and face to face
* Achieving sales targets
* Dealing with cash and card transactions
* Dealing with suppliers and customer complaints and queries
* Preparing quotes for customers
* Assisting customers with product selection and providing expert advice
* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
* Updating product displays and promotional materials
* Processing orders and ensuring timely delivery
* Managing inventory and restocking supplies
* Keeping up to date with product knowledge and industry trends
* Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
* Working collaboratively with team members to achieve overall sales goals
* Handling returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies
Key Requirements Include:
* Must have a positive, can-do attitude
* Smart and tidy appearance
* Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
* Able to operate tills and card machines
* Good spoken and written English
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
* Knowledge of sales techniques and the ability to upsell or cross-sell products
* Ability to meet sales targets and goals set by the management
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer complaints or issues effectively
* Understanding of store policies and procedures, including returns and exchanges
* Willingness to undergo training and professional development to enhance sales skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet to address customer needs or challenges.
