We’re looking for a Software Installation Specialist to join our team in Crawley, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting Elekta’s Treatment Planning, Oncology Informatics, Control Systems, and QA Solutions software on our Linac Devices.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of R&D, Test Facilities, and Verification & Validation teams—installing and supporting first-of-type software that shapes the future of cancer treatment.

What you’ll do at Elekta:
* Test Infrastructure Management
* Maintain the test infrastructure, including application and SQL servers, to maximize system availability for development, testing, and training.
* Ensure infrastructure is actively monitored and can be rapidly recovered in case of software or hardware failure.
* Manage departmental assets supporting the test infrastructure, such as Software Test Benches, Virtual PC hosts, and ancillary systems.
* Technical Issue Resolution
* Proactively investigate and resolve technical issues that impede installation, support, or use of Elekta Software Products.
* Troubleshoot issues during software deployment and provide detailed feedback to development teams.
* Provide user support to overcome issues with the Software Test Infrastructure.
* Software Deployment & Change Management
* Schedule and perform required changes to systems and supporting databases to maximize availability.
* Ensure all changes to test systems are recorded and baseline configurations are maintained.
* Rigorously verify system functionality and readiness after interventions or significant software changes.
* Collaboration & Relationship Building
* Form excellent working relationships with DevOps, IT, software development, and automation teams within Elekta.
* Act as the first recipient of new DevOps tools and drive their broader rollout across multiple facilities.
* Facilitate rapid and accurate deployment of software test hosts and related infrastructure.
* Adoption of New Technologies
* Drive adoption of new Elekta developments in software installation and distribution.
* Support and develop opportunities for increased usage and overnight testing in the System Verification Emulator Environment.
* Innovation & Continuous Improvement
* Provide innovative solutions and recommendations for server infrastructure management and proactively implement improvements.

What you bring:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Server/Workstation operating systems, Microsoft SQL Server, Linux operating systems, and Citrix Metaframe/XenApp.
* Experience providing technical support on software products and associated hardware.
* Knowledge of tools and methods for autonomous software installation and deployment.
* Understanding of TLS encryption.
* Cloud & Virtualization
* Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure platform.
* Excellent PC and networking technical skills.
* Proven talent for troubleshooting problems across all aspects of the IT environment.
