The role

Lead Clinician – Occupational Therapist

Location: Bankside College – Worcestershire, WR8 0AD.

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (DOE). Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinically lead the in‑house occupational therapy team, working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and the Regional Clinical Lead.
  • Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex neurodivergent needs, including autism, developmental trauma and SEMH, and support the implementation of EHCP plans.
  • Hold a clinical caseload while providing service development input for the school‑based service.
  • Coordinate line management of onsite clinical team members and lead service development in partnership with the school SLT.
  • Produce clear and concise clinical and research report writing.
  • Provide supervision and support to the therapy team, ensuring independence and dynamic growth of the clinical service.
  • Collaborate with multi‑professional teams and services within the designated specialty.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered Practitioner with the HCPC or an approved governing body.
  • Valid and up to date professional registration and membership of a recognised body (e.g., BPS).
  • Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
  • Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
  • Ability to work independently, dynamically and within a growing clinical service.
