Early morning shift (6am – 2pm) Job Ref No: FVF/LPE/12/25
Evening shift (2pm – 10pm) Job Ref No: FVF/LPL/12/25
Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Logistics Planners will be an integral part of the Customer Services Department, being responsible for production and transport planning.
The Role:
1. To assist with the scheduling of production plans and customer delivery plans;
2. To assist with the transport routing of deliveries;
3. To shunt vehicles and trailers around the yard and load customer orders onto vehicles;
4. To process incoming customer orders and allocate these to the internal planning systems;
5. To provide customer support and manage predictive ordering software to maximise customer service.
The Person:
6. Will preferably have experience of planning and routing HGV’s;
7. Have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications, transport planning software or sales order processing software;
8. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy team;
9. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a friendly telephone manner, an organised and methodical approach to work as well the ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail;
10. Will preferably have experience of working in a busy office environment, ideally in a customer services role.
11. Ideally will hold a valid C+E licence or shunter licence;
12. Ideally have an understanding of the Northern Ireland agricultural industry.
