Mechanical Engineering Project Managerplanning factory installation engineering projects. Mechanical materials handling would be a great background for example conveyors, industrial blowers, industrial ventilation, silos, hoppers, bulk powder, feed mills, recycling plants and recycling industrial equipment, incinerators, industrial ovens, bulk bagging equipment, factory equipment fabrications and industrial mechanical assemblies. A Mechanical Project Engineer, Contracts Manager or similar installation and commissioning background could be good, or a design engineer with customer site experience and looking for the next career step into a Project Engineer or Contract Manager role.
As Mechanical Engineering Projects Manager for you’ll be responsible for preparing everything needed before the site installation team arrives at the customer’s factory. From final site checks to coordinating deliveries and confirming schedules, you’ll make sure every detail is in place for a successful installation. You’ll be a key point of contact for the customer in the lead up to installation, double checking designs, expectations and timescales are a key part of the Project Engineer role.

What We’re Looking For
* Experience in project coordination, site planning, or contracts management.
* Background in industrial or materials handling sectors is a plus.
* Ability to make and record accurate on site measurements, and able to read basic engineering drawings.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
Key Responsibilities
* Visit customer sites to carry out final measurements and assess site readiness.
* Check access routes, workspace clearance, and safety requirements.
* Confirm installation dates with customers and internal teams.
* Ensure all equipment, parts, and assemblies are ready for delivery.
* Communicate with suppliers and colleagues to keep everything on track.
* Identify and resolve potential issues before installation begins.
* Act as the main point of contact for customers during the planning phase.
