The Software Engineer (Node.js & TypeScript) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and related services. You will work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, UX designers, and engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, and Step Functions. Write clean, testable code following SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI principles. Build robust testing suites (unit, integration, end-to-end) with Jest/Vitest and AWS mocks. Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability; troubleshoot production issues. Participate in code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and team knowledge sharing. Implement secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10, IAM least privilege). Maintain clear technical documentation and stay current with Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and serverless trends. What are we looking for? Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred). Proven experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments. Strong background in AWS Lambda and serverless development. Solid understanding of AWS services (API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, Step Functions). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Serverless Framework, or SAM). Skilled in GitHub, modern branching strategies, and CI/CD automation. Proficient in testing and TDD, including AWS service mocking. Knowledge of serverless security best practices. The follwing experience would be desirable but not essential, experience in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban), Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, exposure to observability tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, Sentry).Understanding of monorepo/polyrepo structures and distributed systems.
