Role Summary

With us, in addition to delivering air quality assessments for UK planning and permit applications and EIAs, you will undertake large‑scale air quality projects on behalf of governments, international financial institutions and private banks. You'll be responsible for providing policy advice, monitoring and modelling as well as leading air quality assessments, undertaking project technical reviews, project management and helping to train and supervise junior team members. Winning work is an essential part of our business, and you will also have the opportunity to get involved in business development and the production of proposals.

What You'll Do

* Lead air quality assessments and coach junior members of the team.
* Lead bids and manage projects.
* Deliver air quality assessments for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects in the UK.
* Produce air‑quality focused proposals and high‑quality reports for stand‑alone and EIA assessments.
* Provide policy advice and monitoring.
* Assist in business development and proposal production.
* Use ADMS‑Roads, ADMS, AERMOD and GIS platforms for modelling and emissions inventory development.
* Ensure compliance with UK assessment approaches and related tools.
* Facilitate training of junior team members.
* Use OpenAir and Python where appropriate.


Qualifications

* Suitable academic qualifications such as a Degree or Masters in a relevant air quality related subject.
* High proficiency in the use of internationally recognised dispersion models including AERMOD, ADMS and ADMS‑Roads.
* Experience delivering energy generation projects either in the UK or internationally.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent written communication skills.
* Ability to lead on a range of air quality assessments for large infrastructure projects as part of a collaborative multi‑disciplinary team following best practice guidance.


Desirable

* Good knowledge of monitoring approaches for a range of different pollutants.
* Experience of developing emissions inventories for regional scale projects.
* Knowledge of operational monitoring reporting for international energy projects and analysis of CEMS data.
* Experience in training junior team members.
* Experience in using geographical information (GIS) systems.
* Membership of a professional body such as IAQM or IEMA.
