Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to work in a well-established Veterinary practice in Wath-Upon-Dearne, Rotherham. The practice is in the process of a full refurbishment but is already very well equipped, including two operating theatres, a dental suite, nurse consultation room, incubators, ultrasound, and x-ray facilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for career progression and sharing knowledge and experience with other veterinary professionals. To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of continuous experience working in a small animal practice as a Veterinary Surgeon.
Location details: The veterinary practice is located in Wath upon Dearne, a small town on the south side of the Dearne Valley in the historic county of the West Riding of Yorkshire and the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. The practice lies 5 miles north of Rotherham, almost midway between Barnsley and Doncaster. It offers excellent transport links to both M1 and A1(M). You also have the opportunity to explore the beautiful Peak District.
Salary and benefits: This role involves a 4-day workweek with 1 in 3 Saturdays. The salary is highly competitive, up to £55,000, plus a £5,200 accommodation allowance. A car or allowance is provided, along with substantial CPD funding and 3 days paid CPD leave. VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees are paid. Additional benefits include retail discounts, days out, holiday discounts, childcare vouchers, a cycle-to-work scheme, auto-enrollment in the UK pension scheme, 5 weeks of annual leave, and excellent career progression opportunities.
Relocation assistance: Up to £5,000 for candidates moving from overseas and up to £2,000 for UK-based candidates relocating more than 50 miles from their previous home.
Visa support: We can assist with Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
Start date: We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who can start as soon as possible.
