Overview
We are seeking a Production Welder to join a leading international manufacturing company in Leamington Spa. This is a temporary ongoing assignment with immediate starts available.
Responsibilities
* Carry out precision TIG welding on stainless steel components to exact specifications.
* Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing of welded parts to achieve the required surface quality.
* Ensure all welded joints are visually and dimensionally accurate, free from defects.
* Work from technical drawings to produce components that meet customer and company requirements.
Quality Control
* Check and measure finished components at required inspection frequencies.
* Identify, label, and record both approved and rejected parts in line with ISO 9001 quality standards.
* Maintain consistency in weld quality, finish, and polish across all components produced.
Safety and Compliance
* Maintain a clean and organised working area, including polishing stations and equipment.
* Adhere to COSHH regulations and company health and safety requirements.
* Wear and correctly use appropriate PPE at all times.
* Report any faults, defects, or safety concerns to the Facilitator immediately.
Efficiency and Communication
* Record completed work on booking sheets as instructed by management.
* Communicate shortages, pending requirements, or potential delays to the Facilitator to avoid downtime.
Skills And Experience Required
* Proven experience in TIG welding stainless steel components.
* Skilled in polishing, grinding, and finishing stainless steel to a high cosmetic standard.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and pride in producing a flawless finish.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality processes and COSHH regulations.
Desirable
* Formal TIG welding / fabrication qualifications or apprenticeship.
* Previous work within a stainless steel manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Working Conditions
* Workshop-based role involving TIG welding equipment, grinders, polishers, and finishing tools.
* PPE provided and must be worn at all times.
Pay
* Days: £14.43 per hour
* Shifts: £15.89 per hour plus overtime
* Hours: 39 hours per week plus overtime
* Typical shifts: 07:00–16:00 Monday–Thursday and 07:00–12:00 Friday (30-minute break); rotating fortnightly
