Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Auction Cataloguer and Valuer to join our friendly Hertfordshire based team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the antiques sector, excellent knowledge of the antiques and auction process, strong administrative skills and have a passion for working with the public. This role involves valuing and cataloguing a diverse range of items to meet deadlines and income goals.
Duties
* Manage and coordinate daily operations with a small dynamic office team to achieve monthly sales targets.
* Lead and oversee monthly auction sales
* Catalogue and Value a diverse range of items
* Source and consign antiques and collectibles
* Host valuation events and home visits
* Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Utilise Microsoft Office. Knowledge of GAP beneficial.
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of antiques and the auction process
* Proven cataloguing and valuing experience
* Competent computer skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* A passion for working with the public
* Driving licence
* A professional attitude with strong communication skills to interact effectively within the team and with external contacts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
