Overview
Join to apply for the Electrician role at VIVID. This is a full-time, permanent position working 39 hours per week, based out of our Basingstoke office, covering Basingstoke and the surrounding North Hampshire area. You will be on the on-call rota outside of normal hours and must live within a suitable distance to attend emergencies within a reasonable time frame. Competitive rates apply for the on-call rota.
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire. Contractual basis and eligibility requirements apply as part of the role.
Responsibilities
As an electrician, you’ll carry out electrical repairs and installations for domestic and commercial properties. You’ll work in line with current IEE Electrical Regulations and maintain high health and safety standards. You’ll fault-find on circuits and appliances, perform cyclical PAT testing and other electrical testing, and assist the building contracts team with programmed works when required.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & Part 2 + AM2 Certificate OR equivalent.
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation with 18th edition wiring regulation.
* 2391/4/5 (inspect & test) is desirable but not essential.
Please ensure that your current qualifications are clear on your CV or application. You’ll be able to demonstrate good all-round electrical skills including testing, fault finding, repairs and installation. Experience working in domestic properties and/or for social housing would be an advantage.
Requirements & Safety
* A full, clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed to drive one of our vans when necessary. Offers are subject to satisfactory driving licence checks and DBS check.
* Working at heights, manual handling, and lifting heavy and bulky items.
* A high degree of mobility, including walking, lifting, loading and unloading vehicles.
