Ofsted Registered Manager Location: MK Salary: £60,000 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and highly motivated Ofsted Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted-regulated childrens home. This pivotal leadership role focuses on creating a nurturing, safe, and empowering environment for children and young people, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted regulations. Day-to-Day of the Role: Ensure the home consistently meets and exceeds Ofsted’s standards, aiming for a “Good” or “Outstanding” rating. Lead, manage, and develop a team of care professionals to deliver high-quality care and support. Oversee the implementation of individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies. Promote a child-centred approach, ensuring the voice of the child is central to all decision-making. Maintain robust safeguarding practices and respond effectively to any concerns or incidents. Manage budgets, resources, and staffing to ensure operational efficiency. Liaise with external agencies including social workers, education providers, health professionals, and families. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards. Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, ensuring all documentation and practices are inspection-ready. Provide regular supervision, training, and performance reviews for staff. Required Skills & Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role. Proven track record of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes. Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
