We're looking for a Porter to join our team based in Huntington, Cambridge. Location : Hinchingbrooke Treatment Centre - Huntington, Cambridge. Hours : 37.5 hours per week, on a shift rota basis between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. What will you be responsible for? As a Porter you'll be carrying out the movement of both Patients and other portable equipment, materials and consumables at Hinchingbrooke Treatment Centre. Your day to day will include: Ensuring that all tasks listed within the portering specification are carried out safely, efficiently and within the appropriate response times, Providing a prompt and safe portering and security service to all wards and departments, in line with the Trust's needs, Being responsible for the collection and delivery of specimens, Becoming trained, skilled and competent to deal with Medical gas bottle collection, delivery and connections, Reporting all significant matters to the portering/security team leader. What are we looking for? This role of Porter is great for you if you have: Previous experience of Portering within a medical environment, and can prioritising workload, An awareness of Trust policies and guidelines, A strong understanding of health and safety regulations with the ability to identify potential hazards and report them to the Team Leader, The ability to show respect and compassion when dealing with sensitive situations, Excellent Communication skills.
