Role Summary - Accounts Payable & Receivable Assistant
Partnered via Robert Half with a leading UK entertainment venue group
1. Based at Watford HQ, with a minimum of 4 days per week in the office
2. Sits within the UK Finance team, reporting to the Transactions Manager and working closely with a Senior Finance Director
3. Key operational role supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with a strong focus on accuracy, controls, and process adherence
Core Responsibilities
4. End-to-end processing of venue supplier invoices, including PO checks, authorisation, and coding
5. Supplier account setup, statement reconciliations, and query resolution
6. Supporting and preparing supplier payment runs
7. Raising invoices for franchise and partnership income, chasing and collecting outstanding balances
8. Supporting year-end audit, statutory reporting, and external auditor requests
9. Managing AP/AR inboxes, open PO reporting, and contributing to finance process improvements
10. Deputising for the Transactions Manager when required
11. Supporting a transition to a 5-4-4 financial close calendar and other ad-hoc projects
12. Occasional travel to venues and active engagement with the UK HQ team
Required Skills & Experience
13. Previous experience across AP and AR, with solid grounding in accounting fundamentals
14. Strong Excel skills (Pivots, Lookups, SumIFs essential)
15. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-growing environment
16. Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
17. Comfortable working independently and adapting to change
Desirable
18. Experience with SAP
19. Background in retail or leisure environments
20. Part-qualified AAT
