Overview
We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Technician / Electrician to join our Technical Services team. You will attend call outs to guest accommodation and general buildings around the Village. You will carry out tasks to resolve maintenance issues, report defects or issues that may cause future problems, undertake inspections, perform planned preventative maintenance, and assist with other general work as briefed by Technical Services Management. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills as you will regularly interact with colleagues and guests. Trade experience is essential as technical knowledge is required.
Hours of Work
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis with various shifts ranging from 7:00am to 10:00pm, including weekends on a rota basis and including out of hours on call. Working days and hours may vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours. The village is open 365 days a year, so working hours will include public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.
Responsibilities
* Attend call outs to guest accommodation and general village buildings to resolve maintenance issues.
* Carry out inspections and planned preventative maintenance.
* Report defects or issues that may cause future problems.
* Assist with any other general work as briefed by Technical Services Management.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high standard of guest care.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous trade experience i.e. electrical or mechanical, as you will also carry out maintenance duties connected with other trades.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Level 3 C&G equivalent NVQ or SVQ in Electrical Installation Theory & Practice.
* C&G 2381/2 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
