We are looking for a Physical Health Nurse (RGN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.
You will be working 15 hours a week (Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm) at Cygnet Hospital Harrow, our Acute Inpatient Mental Health and Autism service.
Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides a recovery focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems.
We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and who also have a dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
Our acute in-patient psychiatric services offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment for individuals with a wide range of psychological and emotional problems, including those who are detained under the Mental Health Act.
Cygnet Hospital Harrow has a “Good” overall CQC rating and fantastic travel links to Central London.

Your day-to-day… Closely monitor patient health issues such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, COPD, minor injuries and illnesses.
Carry out ECGs.
Carry out Metabolic Syndrome monitoring.
Co-ordinate with GP surgery for routine reviews: cervical smear screening, breast cancer screening, annual chronic health review, etc., Liaise with relevant health professionals e.g.
dietician, optician, chiropodist, continence nurse, dentist, Tissue viability nurse, Continence team, Community diabetes specialist team, etc., Liaise with pharmacist and contribute to medicines management committee.
Support mental health nursing staff in managing minor injuries and wound care management.
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Consult and coordinate with Multidisciplinary team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Promote physical health and well being to the service users Train staff to perform observation of vitals, perform read ECG, venepuncture Provide health clinic sessions for the service users Why Cygnet?
