This role has been created due to succession planning and offers a genuine, planned path to Partner within approximately 3–4 years for the right candidate.
It is ideal for a Senior Manager or Associate Director in general practice who feels ready for more and wants real influence in a growing group while maintaining a relationship‑driven local practice feel.

Responsibilities
* Managing and growing a sizeable portfolio of OMB and corporate clients.
* Overseeing accounts, tax, and associated advisory work.
* Working directly with business owners on structuring, tax planning, forecasting, profit improvement and succession.
* Acting as a key commercial sounding board for clients.
* Leading, coaching and reviewing the work of managers and seniors.
* Helping shape resourcing, training and quality control.
* Preparing and presenting proposals.
* Attending and leading pitches and new business meetings alongside Partners and senior leadership.
* Identifying opportunities within your portfolio and the wider local market.
Qualifications
* c. 5+ years PQE in practice.
* Strong background in general practice: accounts, corporate/owner‑managed tax, and advisory.
* Proven track record managing a portfolio and a team.
* Commercially aware, comfortable discussing fees, scope and value with clients.
* Enjoys being client‑facing and building long‑term relationships.
* Hands‑on enough to roll sleeves up when needed, but comfortable delegating and developing others.
* Ambitious, but grounded and collaborative – someone who can slot into an existing leadership team and be seen as a future Partner.
* Open to candidates from Top 20, strong regional or quality independent firms.
* Experience with OMBs and SMEs is essential; larger/complex clients are a bonus.
