Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all QS/MQS duties on highway projects
2. Provide leadership and mentorship to a relatively young team to bridge experience gaps
3. Ensure accurate and timely cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
4. Conduct risk management and mitigation planning
5. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
6. Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
7. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project compliance
8. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
Job Requirements:
9. Substantial experience in quantity surveying, specifically within highway projects
10. Strong leadership and team management skills
11. Proficiency in cost management and financial reporting
12. Excellent understanding of contract law and construction contracts
13. Strong communication and negotiation skills
14. Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally for projects
15. Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
