Package up to £50,000 with £2,500 sign on bonus Role Summary We’re looking for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer in Worcestershire or Birmingham to join our growing team, helping us to make a positive difference to the communities we work in. You’ll carry out servicing, maintenance and small works on fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems in the Worcestershire & Birmingham area, with a strong focus on building trusted relationships and delivering excellent customer service. Bank Holidays) birthday off * Pension contribution * 24/7 GP cover * Discount vouchers and employee recognition scheme * £1,500 referral bonus (conditions apply) Who We’re Looking For You’ll need: * Experience working with addressable and conventional fire alarms. * Experience of working with intruder alarms, CCTV and access control * A proactive, reliable approach with strong fault finding skills * Good documentation and communication skills * A valid UK driving licence * The legal right to work in the UK * Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) Desirable: * Industry recognised fire and security qualifications (i.e., FIA, City & Guilds etc) * 18th Edition or similar electrical qualification * Understanding of IP, networking and IoT devices Key Responsibilities * Service, maintain and carry out small works on fire and security systems * Diagnose and rectify faults * Respond to call outs promptly and efficiently * Provide technical support and complete accurate site documentation * Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety * Represent Severnside as our frontline contact, delivering excellent customer service * Work collaboratively with Service Team Coordinators * Participate in the out of hours call out rota At Severnside, we’re proud to be an inclusive employer.
