Client Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

An established and growing accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a client portfolio and play an active role in delivering high-quality service to a range of SME clients.
Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day queries and ongoing support.
* Review year-end accounts, management accounts, and tax returns prepared by junior team members.
* Oversee bookkeeping, VAT returns, and compliance deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
* Provide advisory support to clients on accounting, systems, and business performance.
* Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff with their development and workload.
* Liaise with HMRC, banks, and external stakeholders when required.
* Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and improve internal efficiency.
Requirements
* Qualified or finalist (ACA / ACCA) with experience in an accountancy practice.
* Previous experience managing a client portfolio and supervising junior staff.
* Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or IRIS.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
